Bullshit


A broad term that essentially means ‘a lie.’ Similar to anger, deviations from truth also form a spectrum. An ‘untruth’ or ‘non-truth’ may range from a simple error or mistake to a fully empowered intention to deceive. The determining factors are intention and awareness. For example, an empowered intention to deceive combined with strong awareness results in a very effective lie, whereas an intention to speak one’s truth combined with some missing awareness or missing information can result in an error or mistake. The word Bullshit itself, as does the word lie, generally assumes some level of an ‘intention to deceive’, which may or may not be the case. Even with an empowered intention for truth, large missing awareness or large missing information can result in a statement that is fully identified with even though untrue. This identification carries the force of reality which, then, may appear as Bullshit, i.e. an intention to deceive, even though there is no such intention.
