Although usually spiritually/religiously oriented, family oriented or not, a cult may be any group in which the identities agree that the cult leader knows more ‘truth’ than the cult follower relative to the cult follower. This identity ‘agreement’ allows the cult follower’s ‘search for personal truth’ to remain on the outside beyond the point of being authentic.
