Cult Leader
A ‘cult’ leader essentially makes only one error. It is the commission of this one error that changes what might be any group that has a leader into a ‘cult’ that has a leader. As in any training, group or school, spiritual or otherwise, for a time it is appropriate for students, trainees’ or participants and so on to simply follow instructions. The ‘cult’ leader makes the mistake of missing the point in time and then continuing to miss that point when the trainee’s “guidance” or training must shift directions and begin to come from within himself or herself rather than from the trainer. This shift rarely occurs all at once. And, so a truly excellent trainer or guru will less and less provide outside guidance and more and more empower the new guidance coming from within the trainee.
