Power Illness

.A “power illness” or addiction occurs when empowerment is placed in service to an undesired experience.

The interpretation that an addiction is “something that you cannot stop” is only accurate to the degree that one actually wishes to stop it! Many so-called addictions are really experiences that a person DOES want to some degree but THINKS they SHOULD not want the experience and so he or she is in a self make-wrong about the experience to some degree also.

A person with an addiction/power illness has placed personal empowerment in service to a compensation or “energetic disorder” rather then in service to authenticity, meaning authentic actions and experiences.. The compulsion or driving force of an addiction comes from the unaccessed anger, of which, the "addict" (gernally a term of make-wrong) is more or less unaware.
