Sexual Conquest

The notion of a sexual conquest in which one person, the conqueror, is the winner and the other person, the conquered, is the loser comes about as a result of at least four deficiencies of the two identities. Respectively, two of the conqueror’s identity and two of the conquered. First, the conqueror’s self-value is so low that it cannot believe that a joyful sexual encounter would be freely given to it and therefore must compete, strategize, steal or otherwise take it by force. Second, having gained the sexual experience, the conqueror cannot authentically share its joy resulting in arrogance. Third, the conquered is unable to say yes or say no authentically and therefore remains doubtful as to the authenticity of the sexual encounter resulting in guilt, shame or self-make wrong. Fourth, the conquered’s self-responsibility horizon is too narrow resulting in the experience of victimization.
