Shiva-Shakti Dance


The depictions of Shiva, Shakti, Krishna etc. in statues, carvings and paintings illustrates the dynamic expression of divinity through the physical body. This dynamic expression of divinity results in what may be called the ‘Shiva-Shakti Dance.’ It is the full body dynamic enlargement of static Mudras expressed in the Latihan through the following of involuntary impulses for movement within the intention to express divinity in a usually ecstatic manner.
